XANADU KARAOKE LEAGUE

Think bowling league but with karaoke.

Grab your friends, name your team, and get ready for eight Wednesday nights of music, competition, surprises, and just the right amount of ridiculousness.

The Xanadu Karaoke League is a team competition built around entertainment, creativity, teamwork, and crowd engagement. You do not have to be an incredible singer to compete. Great vocals can help—but a fearless, unforgettable performance can win the room.

HOW DOES KARAOKE LEAGUE WORK?

Teams compete each Wednesday throughout the eight-week season. Every league night features several performance rounds, including individual performances, team numbers, and surprise challenges.

Teams earn points for showing up, completing their performances, embracing the challenge, and entertaining the room. Weekly scores are added to the season standings, which will be shared throughout the league.

After seven weeks of regular-season competition, the leading teams advance to the Week 8 Championship and compete for the Xanadu Karaoke League title.

THIS IS NOT “THE VOICE”

You do not need to be the best singer in the room.

Performances are judged on a combination of:

Entertainment
Creativity
Commitment
Teamwork
Crowd engagement
Overall performance
A little bit of vocal ability

Costumes, choreography, props, comedy, and bold choices are encouraged. Standing still and singing beautifully might earn points but putting on a show is what Karaoke League is all about.

WHAT HAPPENS EACH WEEK?

Each Wednesday includes a mix of:

A featured performance by a team representative
A performance involving multiple teammates
A surprise or Wild Card challenge
Audience voting for Crowd Favorite
Weekly awards and updated league standings

The upcoming week’s theme and advance instructions will be sent to team captains before league night. Some challenges will remain secret until teams arrive, so be ready for anything.

Team captains are responsible for sharing each week’s information with their teammates and submitting any requested songs or team details by the weekly deadline.

CAN WE MISS A WEEK?

We understand that people have jobs, vacations, illnesses, and real lives.

Teams may use an approved substitute when necessary, and each team’s lowest regular-season weekly score will be dropped. One difficult week does not have to ruin your entire season.

Consistent participation still matters, so teams should plan to attend as many Wednesdays as possible.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Week 8 is the Xanadu Karaoke League Championship.

The top teams from the regular season will compete in a final series of performances to determine the season champion. Championship scores begin fresh, so every qualifying team has a real chance to win.

The winning team will claim the Xanadu Karaoke League trophy, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights until the next season.

Additional awards may recognize standout performances, costumes, teamwork, audience favorites, and the moments we cannot stop talking about.
